Michael Alan Davis, of Norwich, died Monday night, March 10, after an F-150 pickup truck crashed into him and two others in Voluntown, according to Connecticut State Police.

The truck was heading south on Ekonk Hill Road (Route 49) just after 7:30 p.m. when it hit three dirt bikes, killing Davis and seriously injuring two riders — ages 20 and 26 — police said. The 26-year-old was airlifted to Hartford Hospital’s trauma center for emergency treatment.

A fourth dirt bike rider managed to avoid the crash.

The truck’s 64-year-old driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital, police said.

No charges have been filed as of publication.

The crash is still under investigation. Authorities urge anyone who witnessed the wreck or has dashcam footage to contact Trooper Timothy Wengloski at (860) 848-6500.
